I Fly

I Fly

I spread my wings
to let them dry
kissed by Sun’s
golden light
warming me
with Love divine

I look upon
what once was mine
that comfort zone
my chrysalis
it kept me safe
while I dwelt inside
nourishing, cradling
offering time
to spend “inside”
alone with my essence
creating transformation
some call metamorphosis

time came
no longer could I stand it
that space
which kept me safe
and the pain
of remaining
the fear of change
moving me to burst forth
into Sun’s light glorious

and so
I spread my wings
take flight
fluttering high above
that which once held me
I catch the wind
aim for the sky
kissed by Sun’s love light

I fly
