What is Meditation?
The English meditation is derived from the Latin meaning “to think, contemplate, devise, ponder, meditate”*. Meditation is and has been a practice of religious traditions including Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Islamic, and Taoist. Although commonly connected with religion or spiritual enlightenment, by nature mediation is entered into any time one is focused in thought or contemplation.
Meditation for Health
In over 1,000 published research studies, various methods of meditation have been linked to changes in metabolism, blood pressure, brain activation, and other bodily processes. Meditation has been used in clinical settings as a method of stress and pain reduction.*
Meditation offered by Resonance Healing is, by design, a prayerful meditation empowering wellness. Research indicates that the number one threat to wellness is stress. Resonance Healing Meditation empowers you for wellness by guiding you in the art of meditation. Movement and still meditation forms are offered to accommodate those who have difficulty being still to relax and meditate.
